Beware Indians In Canada: Danger Time Started!
According to the latest reports, Canada deported 3,323 Indian nationals during the first six months of 2026, which is close to 88% of the 3,779 Indian nationals removed throughout 2025.
The volume of the Indian population that has been shifting to Canada in the recent times has been through the roof. People have been going there for education opportunities and looking to settle down there in one way or another.
Now we are witnessing something pretty significant as Canada has started to crack down on the Indian population in the country.
According to the latest reports, Canada deported 3,323 Indian nationals during the first six months of 2026, which is close to 88% of the 3,779 Indian nationals removed throughout 2025.
If the current rate continues, the number could exceed the annual total recorded in any year since 2020.
Indians were the largest nationality among people removed from Canada in the first half of 2026, ahead of Mexicans, with 1,573 removals.
Canadian authorities said deportations involving Indian nationals were associated with immigration violations, unsuccessful asylum claims, visa overstays and alleged visa fraud.
Meanwhile, 7,669 Indian nationals are currently awaiting removal as Canada tightens its immigration policies and works to reduce the number of temporary residents, including international students and temporary foreign workers.
It appears that Canada, which was turning out to be one of the most popular destinations for Indians to settle down abroad, starting to crack down and sending back the population now.
