Can TDP Seniors Make It To The Final List?

Update: 2024-02-24 12:16 GMT

How many seats TDP and Janasena would get as part of the alliance is the question many have. The two parties deciding to go to elections together is the reason. For the 2014 elections, the two parties joined hands along with BJP. However, the Janasena party did not get any seats in 2014. This time the Janasena was allotted tickets.

Janasena was allocated 24 MLA seats and three MPs. On the other hand, the grand old Telugu Desam Party received as many as 94 Assembly seats. The list of candidates was also announced by the party.

While the first list of candidates is announced by the TDP, it raised many eyeballs as the senior leaders were missing. The list also raised the doubt that the second list would give clarity about the seniors.

The seniors in the party are very active compared to the youth candidates. The likes of Buchiah Chowdary who has been winning consecutive elections were also put on hold which is shocking.

Leaders like Buchiah Chowdary, Buddha Venkanna, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Devineni Uma, Chintamani Prabhakar, and others could not make it to the first list. There is a lot of suspense on them. The second list might clear the doubts around them.

The reality is that TDP has to allocate some seats to BJP and Janasena. If we take the Rajahmundry Rural seat for example there is a tough fight between TDP and Jana Sena. Sitting MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary is confident of getting the seat. He openly said he would get the seat. If he has to be given the seat the Janasena leader should be pacified.

The same is the case with Ganta Srinivasa Rao. He won the previous elections from Visakhapatnam North. It is said that this time the seat might be given to the BJP and he might be asked to take other seats like the Cheepurupalli Assembly seat.

So it is all dependent on other parties. Once they get the clarity then the seniors might be announced as the candidates.
