Cargo With Gold Stolen: Indian-Origin People Among Arrested!

A big consignment with Gold and other valuables reaches the airport and fraudsters rob the consignment by using fake documents. We only see that in movies and there are a few movies where there are similar scenes. But this happened in real life and the worth of the consignment is over $20 million.

Going into details, a big consignment was stolen from Canada last year. In April 2023, the container was stolen with the help of fake documents. While what happened was a big shock the incident is dubbed as the biggest heist in the history of Canada.

A big consignment reached the Toronto Pearson International Airport last year which was sent from Switzerland. A group had its eyes on the consignment and robbed it successfully. As a big development in the case, the group which is involved in the robbery was arrested.

It is said that there are nine people in the group and six of them were arrested. The arrested people include two Indians too which is shocking. Reports say that two Air Canada employees were also involved in this and they played a key role in this.

The Cargo theft created a big sensation back then as its worth is over $20 million as it carried 400 kilograms of Gold. The Canadian Police launched an investigation along with other agencies and caught hold of six accused. A hunt is on for the remaining three.

Recalling what had happened, on 17th April 2023 a flight carrying a cargo reached the Pearson International Airport. The cargo was carrying 400 KG of gold and foreign currency. The accused showed fake documents and looted the consignment.
