Abdul Aziz al-Muzaini has been accused of endorsing terrorism and homosexuality through his hit animated series Masameer, a satirical cartoon. The series got a good reception but also landed in a controversy.
The producer is accused of promoting terrorism and homosexuality in the series. The 2021 series landed him in a big row. A committee was made to look into this and question him. He said that the chairman of the committee questioned him over the charges.
Despite the producer giving his explanation on this, the body found him guilty. With this, he was slapped with a jail term and a travel ban. The issue is expected to be heard by a higher court and till then the punishment stays intact.
