It is already known that a significant fire happened at the foreign club in Telangana, and there were doubts on whether crucial files were burned in the same. However, an official clarification to this effect arrived earlier in the day today and let us have a look into the same.
The official details regarding the Cash for Vote case provide clarity on the handling of evidence by the Forensic Science Laboratory. The case, registered as Crime No. RCA 11/ACB/CRI/2015, involved the submission of material objects to the FSL for examination as part of the investigation.
According to authorities, a total of 16 material objects were received by the laboratory in 2015 from the concerned court. All the items were thoroughly examined within the same year, following standard forensic procedures.
After completing the analysis, the laboratory submitted its reports to the court on three separate occasions in 2015, ensuring that the investigation process was supported with scientific findings in a timely manner.
Officials further stated that all case properties related to this matter were formally returned to the honorable court in March 2021. This means the laboratory no longer retained any physical evidence connected to the case after that date.
Importantly, authorities clarified that none of the materials linked to the Cash for Vote case were present at the Forensic Science Laboratory when the recent fire accident occurred. This statement was issued to address speculation and prevent the spread of misinformation.
The clarification reassures that the integrity of the evidence in this case remains unaffected, as all items had already been handed back to the court well before the incident.
