Chandrababu Naidu took oath as the Chief Minister and assumed the Chief Minister’s office. Putting an end to the suspense, Chandrababu Naidu allocated the portfolios to the 24 Ministers, and the list was released to the media. The Ministers were given key portfolios and multiple departments.

Chandrababu Naidu is not a normal leader and a tall leader. His legacy is a few long decades in politics. He used his experience in the portfolio allotment. Though he allocated the portfolios to the Ministers he kept the important portfolios with him.

The Chief Minister is the head of the state though the Home Minister can look into any department if needed. As the Chief Minister it is crucial to have surveillance on the state and to know what is happening. With this, Chandrababu Naidu kept key portfolios with him.

The General Administration Department and Peace and Security were retained by Chandrababu Naidu. The observers say that it is a very strategic move to retain the departments to have good control of the state. They also say that this helps in putting breaks to the hyper nature of officials and leaders.

On the other hand, the observers are highlighting that Chandrababu is not the first Chief Minister to do so. YSR and YS Jagan did the same. The father-son duo held the key portfolios when they were Chief Ministers. While Sabitha Indra Reddy was the Home Minister when YSR was the CM.
