Champions Trophy Canceled: Because of India?

One of the most prestigious cricketing tournaments in the world, The Champions Trophy is one of the prized events in the game. The tournament was initially scheduled to happen between February 19 to March 9, 2024 in Pakistan but the chances are that it could get canceled.
The root cause for this possible cancelation of the champions trophy could be India, we are hearing.
As per reports, the BCCI has denied the proposal to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. The citation here is that BCCI is concerned about the safety of the players in Pakistan and doesn't intend to risk the safety of Indian players on Pakistani soil.
India has instead proposed to play its games in Dubai which could pave way for a hybrid tournament in two nations. But it is heard that Pakistan is against this move and that is the reason why they are ready to even cancel the tournament if needed. If things don't quite as planned, then the ICC Champions trophy could well get canceled.
It has to be seen if the ICC would actually proceed to cancel the trophy due to the reluctance of the Indian side or if they would impose the hybrid model which is the alternative proposal.
