Do We Need Janasena? TDP Leaders Question Chandrababu!
At the same time, his comments led to a discussion among the political circles and leaders
The elections are approaching in poll-bound Andhra Pradesh. Amid this, the alliance row between TDP-Janasena has become the talk of the town. At the Raa Kadali Raa program, Chandrababu Naidu announced candidates for two constituencies under special conditions. Saying that the TDP candidates will contest in the seats, he urged the cadres to support them.
An unexpected response came from Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan on the issue. “TDP announced the candidates which is not under the alliance rules. This caused unrest in the Janasena. I am apologizing to the party leaders on this,” Pawan Kalyan said. Pawan Kalyan saying this in the open became the talk of the town.
At the same time, his comments led to a discussion among the political circles and leaders. Many say that the comments added fuel to the concerns of the TDP leaders. The question of do we need Janasena among the TDP cadre got the required momentum, many say.
Considering the previous situations with the current ones, many say only YCP and TDP are strong in AP. If anyone joins hands with the two parties, then it would be beneficial to the other sides but not the two parties. Maybe this is the reason why Jagan opted to go alone in elections no matter what.
However, a few TDP leaders think that Chandrababu Naidu is behaving as if he would set the political life of Pawan and give a future to Janasena. In the process, he got into the hands of Janasena. Pawan Kalyan said that Janasena will take one this of the seats which translates to 58 seats. This gave a big jolt to the TDP leaders.
If around 60 seats are given to Janasena TDP will be left with just 115 seats. In this scenario, Chandrababu Naidu should pacify around 60 leaders. This will be a hectic task for the TDP boss. TDP leaders say that encouraging rebels is like playing with the fire.
If this happens, Janasena will be in a comfortable position even if it wants a mere five seats to reach the magic number. TDP leaders are reportedly worrying that Pawan might be in a controlling position with remorse in his hand. They question why so much importance is given to a party that won just one seat.
If we look at the 2019 elections, Janasena recorded just 5.53 votes(one seat) when it contested alone. As a crackdown, the party got just five and a half marks. If we look at it in terms of seats then it is just 0.57 percent. TDP got 39.17 percent votes which is almost 40 percent. Despite this, Pawan Kalyan said the party will contest one-third seats.
This made the TDP leaders question if Chandrababu gave the responsibility of making Janasena a strong party to the leaders. They say that TDP cannot have a peaceful time in governance if it comes to power in the alliance as they have to face comments that it won with Janasena's support. They are steering the situations and comments from 2014.
They are reportedly finding fault with Pawan Kalyan announcing candidates for two seats saying that he is doing this as Chandrababu did the same in special conditions. They say that Pawan Kalyan made it an issue rather than just announcing the candidates in the seats.
Expressing concerns about the comments, they say that the issue will not stop there and it might haunt the party all the time. Having said that they are reportedly requesting Chandrababu to think again as they have no compulsion of giving one third seats to the Janasena. They are said to have told Chandrababu to look into their concerns.
