Court Shocks Actress-Turned-Politician In Flat Scam!
The scam went to the notice of the ED and the MP was also questioned in connection with the case.
In what could be seen as a big blow, a Court shocked an actress-politician in a much-talked-about case and gave orders that she should be present before the court physically in connection with the case. Hearing a petition she filed the High Court gave the orders.
Nusrat Jahan is a popular actress-turned-politician from West Bengal. The ruling party MP has been facing issues with the Flat fraud case in which the senior citizens were cheated. In the name of offering houses in budget, the senior citizens were duped for money.
The company that is accused of cheating the senior citizens is connected to Nusrat Zahan as she is believed to be the director of the company. The scam went to the notice of the ED and the MP was also questioned in connection with the case.
Earlier a lower court gave orders saying that Nusrat Zahan should be physically present in the court for the hearing. The orders were issued last year. However, the MP did not attend the court and moved the High Court.
However, the MP did not get the relief as the Court supported the orders given by the lower. She was directed to be present in the court for the hearing physically. This can be seen as a big blow to the ruling party MP.
While the Court ordered the physical presence of the MP in the court, there are two options left before her. One is to follow the orders or challenge the verdict in the higher court. We might get clarity on this soon.
On the other hand, Nusrat Zahan has been denying any ties with the case. Saying no to any involvement, the MP said that she just took a loan from the company and cleared the money along with the interest. Now we have to what step the MP takes next.
