Since 2013 Indian cricket fans have faced many heartbreaks as far as the ICC events are concerned. We get close to the trophies and return without the glory. Be it the Champions Trophy or 2016 T20 World Cup many events have passed like that. India lost the World Cup at home too.

Out of all the heartbreaks, the 2019 World Cup was very painful. India could not chase the not-so-big target and were knocked out in the Semi-Finals. New Zealand, which has been defeating us in the ICC events, has defeated us again.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni was run out and this ended India's chances of winning the match. Usually, MS Dhoni won't show any emotions and he also almost had tears in his eyes. Fans cannot forget the painful image of the former skipper. Now, Dhoni has opened up on this.

At an event, MS Dhoni said that the 2019 World Cup was a big heartbreak moment. The former skipper said that that was his last World Cup and he knew it before. Recalling the moment Dhoni said that it would have been good had India won the title.

Dhoni said that it takes time to accept such things. Saying that a player gets some time after the World Cup, Dhoni added he did not play any international game after the match and he got a lot of time. I have accepted it and moved on, he added.

It was the last time Dhoni was seen in the Blue jersey. In an Instagram post, Dhoni announced his decision to retire.
