Telangana Elections: Doctors Entering The Assembly House As MLAs
Another special aspect happened in the state as many doctors were all set to enter the Assembly house.
Putting an end to the long wait, the Telangana results were announced on Sunday. Shocks and surprises are part of the election results. Heavyweight leaders tasted defeat in the intense fight and many new faces emerged victorious. The political landscape changed in the state as Congress came to power defeating BRS.
Another special aspect happened in the state as many doctors were all set to enter the Assembly house. As many as 15 Doctors won the elections and grabbed everyone’s attention. These doctors belong to various parties and the common point among them is that they are specialist doctors.
The grand old Congress party has the most number of Doctors who won the elections as MLAs while the ruling BRS has three doctors followed by the BJP with one doctor. The MLAs who hail from various constituencies belong to various specialisations in doctor studies.
Doctors who won the elections from the Congress party: Dr. Ram Chander Naik, Dr. Vamsi Krishna, Dr. Murali Naik, Dr. Satyanarayana Dr. Mainampalli Rohit, Dr. Parnika Reddy, Dr. Sanjiva Reddy, Dr. Vivek Venkataswamy, Dr. Koochukulla Rajesh Reddy, Dr. Bhupathi Reddy, and Dr. Ragamai.
BRS which is now the opposition has three doctors in the Assembly House in the form of Dr. Tellem Venkatarao, Dr. Kalvakuntla Sanjaru, and Dr. Sanjaru. BJP has one doctor in attendance in Dr. Palvai Harish who emerged victorious in the Sirpur seat.
The doctor is one of the noble professions in society and they help people have good health. Now we have to see how they help democracy stay healthy by raising public issues and becoming the voice of the people.
