In a bold move that reflects Hyderabad’s emergence as a world-class innovation and investment hub, the city is set to name major roads and junctions after global corporations and iconic personalities.

A prominent road alongside the US Consulate in Cyberabad will be renamed Donald Trump Avenue, with the official inauguration scheduled for June 23.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor will attend the high-profile unveiling ceremony, which comes ahead of the US Independence Day celebrations on July 4.

The fact that Donald Trump is going to have a road named after himself in the heartland city of Hyderabad is as interesting as it can get. We have to see if this would be a consolidated decision by the authorities, and what would be the public reaction to the same.

Hyderabad is set to unveil Donald Trump Avenue on June 23 near the US Consulate in the city’s Financial District, highlighting Telangana’s growing economic and diplomatic ties with the United States.

The initiative is part of a broader vision to recognise globally influential names, with proposals including Google Street, Microsoft Road, and Wipro Junction.
