The President of United States, Donald Trump has been taking a very problematic approach when it comes to increasing the tariffs on other countries. He has been employing a similar formula for India as well as he had been hiking the tariff substantially in the recent past.

The latest news is that Trump has reportedly confirmed that he will be massively, hiking the tariffs on India in the next 24 hours. He cited the fact that India is continuing the oil trade with Russia as the reason behind this decision.

This comes shortly after Trump had already announced his decision to hike the tariffs on India due to the continued oil trade with Russia.

India is not only buying massive amounts of Russian Oil, they are then, for much of the Oil purchased, selling it on the Open Market for big profits.

They don't care how many people in Ukraine are being killed by the Russian War Machine. Because of this, I will be substantially raising the Tariff paid by India to the USA. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!! President Trump has stated earlier in the day.

Now it is being confirmed that the United States president is going to further the hike, the tariff over the next 24 hours, and this could come as a significant blow to the trade between India and the United States.

The Indian government is still holding strong on this matter as they have made it very clear that bilateral relationship relationships with Russia will continue as is regardless of Trump’s position.
