United States, president, Donald Trump has been taken with serious measures with regard to the conflict with Iran and the repercussions are being felt in Asia as well.

US President Donald Trump has said the ongoing war with Iran could end soon, claiming that American forces have already destroyed most major military targets in the country.

In a brief phone interview with Axios, Trump said there is now practically nothing left to target after days of intense strikes carried out by the United States and its ally Israel. He added that the conflict could end whenever he decides to stop the operation, saying, Any time I want it to end, it will end.

The military campaign began in late February with large scale airstrikes aimed at crippling Iran’s missile systems, naval assets, and infrastructure linked to its nuclear program. US military officials say thousands of targets have already been hit during the operation, significantly weakening Iran’s military capabilities.

However, other officials have offered more cautious assessments. Israeli leaders have stated that the campaign will continue “as long as necessary” until all objectives are achieved, indicating that the fighting may not end immediately.

Iran, meanwhile, has warned that the conflict could turn into a prolonged war of attrition and has threatened retaliation against US and allied interests in the region. Analysts say the situation remains volatile despite Trump’s claim that the war is nearing completion.

The conflict has also raised global concerns over oil supply routes, particularly around the strategically critical Strait of Hormuz.
