Generally, the number and the registration plate on a vehicle is extremely important for the traffic police to identify a vehicle. This is the reason why the traffic police are extremely particular about vehicles maintaining proper display plates at all times.

But a horrifying incident that happened in Hyderabad has shocked everyone as a BMW car in Jubilee Hills ended up in an accident, but the driver cleverly switched the number plate using remote technology.

This drunk driver driving a BMW in the Jubilee Hills was caught using a high-tech system to swap number plates and dodge traffic fines, Traffic cops left stunned as the accused tried to fool them with remote operated Chinese flip number plates.

Preliminary investigation by the Hyderabad police revealed that the remote system enabled the driver to switch between different number plates or hide the original registration entirely, making it difficult for traffic cameras and enforcement systems to detect violations.

Police confirmed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the check. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act for drunk driving, tampering with vehicle registration, and use of unauthorized modifications.

Officials stated that such modifications are illegal and pose a serious challenge to traffic enforcement and public safety. The vehicle has been seized, and further investigation is underway to determine whether the system was used in previous offences.
