It is already known that the software industry has been facing several repercussions due to the influence of the AI revolution globally. This has resulted in software employees is getting increasingly frustrated about job security.

However, here we have the case of a software engineer who has found an interesting solution to this problem in order to secure financial and mental peace of mind.

A recent report highlights the story of a 32 year old Indian software engineer who is planning a major life change. Currently working in Dubai, he is considering returning to his hometown of Dehradun to start what he calls a simple and stable business.

After spending nearly a decade in the technology sector, including a few years abroad, he feels increasingly uneasy about job security. Frequent layoffs, constant performance pressure, and rapid changes driven by artificial intelligence have made corporate life stressful.

Though the salary abroad is attractive, he believes the emotional cost is high. He wants more time with his wife and young child and hopes for a calmer daily routine.

With savings of around fifty to sixty lakh rupees, he feels he has enough financial cushion to take a calculated risk. Instead of launching a flashy startup, he prefers what he describes as a boring but dependable venture.

His ideas include a small retail store managed by his wife, student housing near colleges, rental properties, or service based businesses that generate steady income. For him, stability and peace of mind now matter more than chasing rapid career growth.
