Germany has logged record heat for the second straight day as a powerful European heatwave pushes east. Temperatures climbed above 41°C, with a provisional national high of 41.5°C reported in Drewitz. The previous record of 41.3°C was set just a day earlier near Saarbrücken.
Paris in France is already melting and latest reports are suggesting that at least 109 people have died due to the heat wave conditions still now while the number is likely to go up in the next few days.
