Big Shock To Ex HCA President, Case Filed?
Mohammad Azharuddin alleging that many irregularities took place during 2019-2022 in the purchase of fire extinguishers, cricket balls, bucket chairs, gym equipment, and others.
Things are not going well with former Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin. All the efforts he made to contest the Hyderabad Cricket Association(HCA) did not give any positive outcome. The petition he filed in the Supreme Court was dismissed and the Apex Court made some strong comments during the arguments.
Now it is said that Mohammad Azharuddin faced another big blow as a case was filed against him. HCA CEO filed a complaint against Mohammad Azharuddin alleging that many irregularities took place during 2019-2022 in the purchase of fire extinguishers, cricket balls, bucket chairs, gym equipment, and others.
Saying that irregularities worth a few crores might have taken place during the tenure of Mohammad Azharuddin as the HCA President, the complaint was filed with the Uppal Police. The case was filed against Mohammad Azharuddin and his team. A few reports say that the case is a non-bailable warrant.
Media reports say that the case was filed under various sections based on the complaint. Earlier, he was barred from contesting as the HCA President. He used all the possible options to change the status quo. But nothing happened.
Mohammad Azharuddin's troubles started when the special committee sacked him from his post on the charges of continuing as the President despite being the President of a cricket club. Not just that his name from the voters' list was also removed. He did not even get relief in the Supreme Court.
Mohammad Azharuddin is regarded as one of the best skippers as he took the team to many wins across the format. He was named in the match-fixing scandal in 2000 and was banned. However, later the investigation found that he had no role in this.
