Explosion At Pharma Unit: 5 Casualties, 24 Injuries Reported?

In a shocking incident, a reactor blast was reported at a Pharma unit claiming a few lives. More than two dozen people sustained injuries in the incident and thick smoke filled the place. A fire team reached the place and brought the fire under control without further loss.

Going into details an explosion took place at the Essentia Company in Atchutapuram SEZ. It is said that five people died in the explosion while around 24 people sustained injuries. The injured victims were rushed to the nearby hospital.

Thick smoke and fire filled the place due to the explosion. Taking timely action the firefighters were called. A few fire engines reached the spot and the firefighters brought the situation under control.

It is said that due to the reactor blast thick smoke and fire surrounded the pharma unit. Seeing this the Police and Fire Department were alerted and the rescue operation was called.

This is not the first time the SEZ reported such an incident. Earlier last year another Pharma company reported a similar incident. However, its impact was not that big and one casualty and two injuries were reported. This time the incident had a big impact with five casualties.

There is no information behind the reason for the explosion. The cops are looking into this. More details are awaited and the investigation might find the details.
