Female Cricketer Recalls What People Told Her Parents!

Cricket is one of the popular sports in the country if not the most popular one. The sports stars enjoy a massive following among the fans and the brands show big interest in roping them as ambassadors. This is the stature they enjoy. However, only the male cricketers are celebrated by the fans.

But this is the past and things have changed now. Female cricketers are also getting recognised their matches are getting big views. The players are also putting up a great show in the performance. Recently Indian women’s team defeated England and Australia.

Smriti Mandhana is among the Superstars we have in the Indian team. The 27-year-old is seeing big heights in her career and adding more feathers to her illustrious cap. She is the winner of the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Award, as the best cricketer.

However, she did not reach the position easily. She too had her fair share of struggles. After putting up a good show in domestic cricket she was taken into the team and there is no looking back from there.

Smriti Mandhana recalled how her parents faced issues and how people taunted her parents looking at her play. She appeared on the Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan along with Ishan Kishan.

In the show, she said that her parents were told that no one would marry her if she plays cricket. Adding further she said that, her parents were told that if she gets tanned by playing cricket no one would marry her. Having said that she thanked her parents for allowing her to follow her dreams and not listening to others' advice.
