Forbes India List: Who Is Richest In India?

Leading financial publication, Forbes has announced the new list of richest population in India and here is a look into the same.

According to Forbes 2025, India has 205 billionaires, making it the third‑highest in the world after the United States and China. The combined wealth of India’s billionaires is about 1 trillion dollars, down 9% from last year due to global market changes and currency fluctuations.

The top 10 richest Indians are:

Mukesh Ambani – 105 billion dollars

Gautam Adani & family – 92 billion dollars

Savitri Jindal & family – 40.2 billion dollars

Sunil Mittal & family – 34.2 billion dollars

Shiv Nadar – 30.5 billion dollars

Dilip Shanghvi – 27.3 billion dollars

Cyrus Poonawalla – 26.5 billion dollars

Kumar Birla – 24.7 billion dollars

Lakshmi Mittal – 24.1 billion dollars

Kushal Pal Singh – 22.8 billion dollars

These rankings reflect market prices and exchange rates as of March 2025. While some billionaires saw a drop in wealth, India continues to be a major hub for global wealth creation.

The list shows the diversity of industries driving fortunes in India, including energy, steel, healthcare, telecom, and manufacturing.

Mukesh Ambani and Gautham Adani are continuing to dominate the list of the richest people in India as they hold the top two positions. The Jindal and Mittal families coming in the third and fourth position is respectively.
