The study focused on young graduates who entered the workforce earlier this year after finishing college. Many employers said these employees struggled to adapt to workplace expectations.
Some companies reported that Gen Z workers often had problems with punctuality, communication, and professional behavior. Employers also said that some new hires found it difficult to handle workplace pressure or work independently without constant guidance.
Another common complaint from managers was that some Gen Z employees were not fully prepared for office culture. Simple things like attending meetings on time, responding to emails properly, and following workplace rules were mentioned as challenges.
However, experts say the issue is not only about Gen Z. They believe companies also need to improve how they train and guide young workers who are entering professional environments for the first time. Many Gen Z graduates studied during the pandemic, which meant less real world experience with internships and office culture.
Despite the concerns, companies still see potential in young workers. With proper mentoring, training, and clear expectations, many Gen Z employees can grow quickly and become valuable members of the workforce.
