Pitting high hopes on tickets for the elections and candidates sometimes missing the chances is part and parcel of the game. It is common. Aspirants either turn rebels to hinder the winning chances of the parties or join the opposite parties. It is sad on the aspirant's part to miss tickets despite working hard.

A few days back a sitting MP took the extreme step and committed suicide. After he was denied a ticket he went for the unexpected move. Unfortunately, the MP breathed fire days after committing suicide. He has been under treatment and undergoing treatment he passed away.

Going into details senior leader Ganeshamurthi contested the 2019 elections from the Erode MP seat. The Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) leader contested the polls on the DMK seat with the alliance between the two parties. He is a three-time MP.

For the upcoming elections Durai, Vaiko's son was given the ticket as the DMK and MDMK come to a common opinion. This did not go well with the sitting MP and Ganeshamurthi took a shocking decision. It was reported that he committed suicide by taking tablets. Later he was taken to the hospital for treatment. He is said to have passed away today at the hospital.

Ganeshamurthi has been with the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) since its inception. He is a three-time MP. He won as the MP for the first time in 1998. Later he tried his luck in the MLA segment and won. In 2009 he won the elections from the Erode MP segment. However, he lost the 2014 polls and won the last elections. But he faced a shock with the seat.
