The government of India has been very proactive when it comes to collective decisions on this supply of petrol and natural gas. And now, finally, there is some official clarity on this matter as the government clarified on the supply chain related with the same.
The government has urged the public not to panic over LPG availability, assuring that domestic gas supply remains stable across the country.
Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, clarified that there is no disruption in the supply chain for household LPG cylinders. She stated that the normal delivery cycle for domestic LPG bookings continues to remain around two and a half days, which is consistent with regular supply timelines.
Her statement comes amid concerns and speculation in some areas about possible shortages and delays in LPG cylinder deliveries. Officials emphasized that oil marketing companies have adequate stock and distribution systems in place to meet household demand without interruption.
The ministry said LPG distributors across the country are operating normally and there has been no directive or situation that would affect routine domestic cylinder deliveries. Consumers have therefore been advised not to rush into advance bookings or create unnecessary demand pressure.
Authorities also warned that panic booking can lead to temporary local delays, even when overall supply remains sufficient. Maintaining the usual booking pattern will help ensure smooth distribution and timely delivery for all households.
The government’s clarification aims to reassure consumers that domestic LPG services are functioning normally and that the standard delivery cycle of about 2.5 days continues to be maintained across most regions.
