A shocking murder case has come to light from Chiluvuru village in Duggirala mandal of Guntur district. Lokam Shivanagaraju, who was found dead under suspicious circumstances two days ago, was initially believed to have died due to a heart attack. However, police investigation later revealed that it was a planned murder carried out by his wife with the help of her lover.
Shivanagaraju got married to Lakshmi Madhuri in 2007 and the couple had two children. He was involved in the onion business and was living with his family. Lakshmi Madhuri worked at a movie theatre ticket counter in Vijayawada, where she became acquainted with a man named Gopi. Their friendship slowly turned into an extramarital relationship.
Unhappy with her husband’s business, Lakshmi Madhuri sent him to Hyderabad to work in a car travels company run by Gopi. When Shivanagaraju later returned to his native village, she allegedly saw him as an obstacle to her relationship. According to police, she decided to eliminate him.
On the night of the incident, she mixed around twenty sleeping tablets into biryani and served it to her husband. After he fell into deep sleep, she called Gopi home and together they smothered Shivanagaraju to death by sitting on his chest and pressing a pillow on his face. She went onto watch obscene videos after this horrifying murder it seems.
The next morning, Lakshmi Madhuri created panic claiming her husband died of a heart attack. However, friends noticed blood from the ears and injuries on the face and informed police. Postmortem confirmed death due to suffocation and broken chest bones. During interrogation, Lakshmi Madhuri confessed to the crime.
