Trump H1B Madness Continues: Less Days More Fees!

United States, president, Donald Trump has been making life really tough for Indian community there as he has been taking certain measures that have been upsetting the current lifestyle of the immigration.

Now he is back on job as he has introduced a new Visa extension fee for H1B visas by widening the gap to $4000. This is applicable to all the individuals who are looking to extend the H1B visas in the United States.

This comes at a time when there is already a lot of scepticism about the reduced number of buffer period days for H1B visa applicants. Trump is clearly going all out.

The Trump administration is considering scrapping the 60-day grace period for laid-off H-1B and other foreign workers, a move that could have major implications for Indian professionals and their families in the US.

For employers with 50+ U.S. employees where more than 50% are H-1B or L-1 workers, the fee will be $4,000 for H-1B and $4,500 for L-1.

Interestingly enough, it will now apply to all extension-of-status petitions, including extensions with the same employee not only for petitions or employer changes.

By reducing the number of buffer days and decreasing the visa, extension fees from administration is giving a strong indication that they are against immigration workforce. This is another desperate attempt from Trump to appeal to his conventional American voters.
