Had KCR Accepted KTR’s Advice, Things Would Be Different
The outlet said that KTR advised KCR that candidates should be changed in over 30 seats due to the anti-incumbency aspect.
The results in the recent election was a big shock as it saw the Congress party coming to power after a long gap of ten years and the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi(BRS) losing power. In the intense political fight, Congress had an edge over the BRS and went past the magic figure.
The BRS-led by Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao aka KCR entered politics with the big aim of winning hattrick elections in the state and setting up a new record. But the Congress party spoiled the plans and won 64 seats. BTRS barely managed to win just 39 seats.
As the BRS lost the elections in the state a national media outlet came up with a sensational story saying that things might have been different had KCR listened to the advice made by his son KTR.
The outlet said that KTR advised KCR that candidates should be changed in over 30 seats due to the anti-incumbency aspect. But KCR did not listen to this and we have seen the result in the elections. Had the former Chief Minister changed 30 candidates BRs would have won more seats than Congress.
We have seen many legislators including the Cabinet Ministers losing the elections. Looking at this we have to admit that KTR had a point here and changing the candidates might have changed the outcome.
Political experts say that more than the BRS the MLAs had a negative image and this resulted in a big defeat of the party in the high-stakes election.
The MLAs are facing allegations of being the deciding factor in the dispersal of the benefits of the schemes. It is said that they decide who should get the benefits of the schemes. This aspect led to a massive negative image. In the end, BRS lost and the story says that if KCR had listened to KTR things would have been different.
