He is a former Chief Minister who was earlier arrested and sent to jail. After spending five months in jail he got a bail and walked out. Now he took oath as the Chief Minister after the legislators picked him as their leader. After a short break, he is back in the Chief Minister's office.

It is known that former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was arrested by the ED earlier in connection with the alleged land fraud case. After spending five months in jail he was released. In what could be a big relief for him the High Court granted a bail.

Shortly after coming out, he took oath as the Chief Minister. Champai Soren was the Chief Minister earlier. Recently he resigned as the Chief Minister so that Hemant Soren can take oath as the Chief Minister.

This is the third time he took oath as the Chief Minister. Ahead of his arrest, he resigned. Or else he would have become the first serving CM to get arrested and the unwanted record is now held by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Hemant Soren comes from a political family. His father Shibu Soren also served as the CM earlier. When he was in jail his wife Kalpana Murmu Soren gave her best in the campaign. She aggressively campaigned before the electrons and played a key role in the alliance coming to power.

The JMM-Congress-Rashtriya Janata Dal alliance won the elections and came to power. Champai Soren was picked as the Chief Minister. He resigned from his post and Hemant Soren assumed the CMO again.
