Everyone knows the sensation the Hijab Ban issue created in Karnataka and other states earlier. The issue was taken to the notice of the Supreme Court. The issue is back in the news with a similar thing happening in another state. A petition was filed and the Court gave a sensational verdict.

The administration of a few colleges run by Chembur Trombay Education Society in Bombay recently ordered the banning of hijabs and other dresses inside the campus. A few students protested against this and moved the Court.

As many as nine female students moved the Court. Hearing this, the Bombay High Court dismissed the plea and said it cannot interfere in the issue. Having said that the Court observed it is the call of the concerned institutions in this.

The students have been saying that they are wearing hijabs for a long time and asked why the ban was imposed suddenly. Alleging that their rights are hindered they dubbed the ban unreasonable. They are fighting against the ban on hijabs.

On the other hand, the College administration said that they are not against any belief but the decision was taken to have uniformity. The administration said they want the students to wear a common uniform and hence the ban was imposed. This applies to other beliefs too, the management said.

Education institutions have a dress code and want the students to follow it. However, the dress code often clashes with the beliefs and the dressing style that comes with this. The same happened here. Not just in Mumbai it is the case with the earlier Karnataka issue too.

With the High Court saying it cannot interfere and the Education Institution can take a call on this, it is expected that the petitioners might move the Supreme Court. Let us wait and see what happens next.
