Hyderabad got the lowest vote percentage when the voting was started and the same continued till the end

Update: 2023-11-30 14:02 GMT

Hyderabad is the capital city of Telangana and enjoys the name of Pearl City. Hyderabad region is the most developed region in the state and whenever the debate on development starts people talk about the city. This is the importance the region has. The literacy rate is also high here.

Despite having such an image the city fell short of expectations in the vote percentage. The city recorded the lowest percentage in the state as per the information. This is not what was expected from Hyderabad.

Hyderabad got the lowest vote percentage when the voting was started and the same continued till the end. Till 9 AM Hyderabad recorded less than 5 percent of vote percentage. Until 11 AM 12.39 percent of votes were recorded. Up to 3 PM, just 31.17% of votes were polled.

By the time the elections were concluded Hyderabad recorded just 31.17% votes. When other regions like Medak(80.28%), Mahabubabad(77.50%), and Adilabad(73.58%) recorded high vote percentages Hyderabad fell short of it.

Despite being the capital city Hyderabad is never a match to other regions when it comes to vote percentage. Always the other regions get big numbers. During the 2018 polls, Hyderabad recorded less than 50 percent voting. Things are even worse this time and the recent polls recorded the lowest percentage.

Being a capital city we expect the city to behave in a certain way and stand at the top in the vote percentage. But things did not turn as expected as the region stood at the last as far as the vote percentage is concerned.

The parties and candidates extensively campaigned in the state for the elections. The best efforts they gave also did not pay off as few voting turnout was reported which is a big shock.
