IIT Banned Oracle And 21 Companies, But Why!

The Indian Institute of technology is the most prestigious and honourable educational institutions in India, and there is a lot of emphasis placed on the same all the time. But now something detrimental is happening to this effect.

The IIT management has collectively decided to ban several companies, including Oracle from hiring their students, and this has come to affect immediately.

IITs have decided to stop cooperating with 22 companies for two years after more than 150 job offers to 2026 graduates went unhonoured. The AIPC will notify the companies by September 30, while IIT placement offices are helping affected students connect with other recruiters.

This is a big decision made by the collective council of the IIT, as they have decided to fire multiple companies from hiring the students. This is a decision taken after these companies have gone back on issuing the offer letters and actually hiring the students.

It has to be seen what would be the future course of action for IITs from now on. This is going to be a pretty significant piece of history as some of the big companies who react to this banned from the IITs.

But considering the prevailing job market and the subsequent crunch in the employment ratio, it has to be seen if students would also be aligning with this in the near future.

A lot of emphasis will be placed on finding alternative companies to higher students or else. There will be a severe shortage in hiring options, and this is something that the managements will have to deal with.
