The Medico case in Kolkata is turning out to be a sensation with each passing day. Condemning the attack on a female doctor the Doctors are staging a protest. Earlier the Federation of Resident Doctors' Association (FORDA) announced that selected services would not be offered.

Now it's the turn of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) to announce a strike. The Medical body said that non-emergency services would not be offered for 24 hours. IMA said that it took the decision to stand in solidarity with the doctors' cause.

Non-emergency services would be stopped for 24 hours. The protest is getting intense and intense with each passing day. More and more bodies are coming forward to stand in solidarity with the cause.

The Out Patient Departments (OPDs) in the state-run hospitals in Punjab were also closed on Friday to show support. Over 3000 doctors shut the OPDs closed from morning to afternoon to show support.

The alleged r*pe and murder of a doctor led to a massive row in the country. The case was handed over to the CBI. The High Court rapped the Police department over the way the case was dealt with.

The issue also took a political turn with BJP and TMC targeting each other. BJP leaders tried to stage a protest against the horrific issue and there was a slight clash between the leaders and the cops.
