Indian's Fraud Marriage To Obtain Green Card Busted!

A fraudulent marriage to get a Green card in the US was busted. An Indian named Vivek Chauhan did this and he pleaded guilty.

Moving to the United States and obtaining a green card is a dream of many. People from various nations have the American dream to settle down there. The vast opportunities and the other aspects play a key role behind the unmatched craze for US Citizenship. More and more people are moving to the US.

But getting a green card is a lengthy process and the aspirants have to stay there for a few years. Having understood the complexities around this, few people indulge in fraudulent ways to get a Green Card. But little do they know that the authorities will bust their plans.

A fraudulent marriage to get a Green card in the US was busted. An Indian named Vivek Chauhan did this and he pleaded guilty. It is said that he is carrying a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a fine of $250,000 for the charges that are pending against him.

Going into details Vivek Chauhan married a woman in 2018 to get the Green card. The marriage was contract-based and he tied the knot with the girl with the sole purpose of obtaining the card. He submitted the details to the concerned authorities.

He was interviewed twice by the authorities. When he was interviewed by the officers for the first time he said that he was living with his wife. During his second appearance, he told them that his wife was pregnant.

When the authorities swung into action and dug deeper into the case, they found that the marriage was contracted one and he did not stay with the lady whom he claimed as his marriage. With this, the authorities produced him before the court and the court is expected to give the verdict soon.
