The ongoing T20 World Cup is progressing on a quick note and one of the host nations India is performing well in tournament as it completed the group stage without a single defeat.
India finished the Group A stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 without losing a single match and have now advanced strongly into the Super Eight round.
India beat the Netherlands by 17 runs in their final group match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, taking their group record to four wins from four games. India scored 193 for 6, with Shivam Dube making 66 runs off 31 balls, and then restricted the Netherlands to 176 for 7 to seal the victory. Varun Chakravarthy took three key wickets with the ball.
Earlier in the group stage, India also won big matches against Pakistan and Namibia. India thumped Pakistan by 61 runs in Colombo, scoring 175 for 7 and then bowling the rivals out for 114. This win guaranteed India’s place in the Super Eights.
Against Namibia, India posted a big score then bowled the opponents out, keeping their perfect run intact.
