India's Gold Tally In Asian Games 2023 Goes Further!

Now everyone in India is talking about Dipika Pallikal and searching for her after her heroics in the Asian Games which is underway. In the Mixed Doubles Squash event, Dipika Pallikal bagged the Gold medal in the finals. With total dominance, the pair bagged the prestigious Gold.

Dipika Pallikal and Harinder Pal Sandhu entered the finals and won the Gold by crushing the Malaysian opponents. Indian players won the gold with 2-0. The Indian players did not let the Malaysian players get an advantage with the 11-10 11-10 sets.

The final saw many ups and downs. In the first game, Malaysia had an advantage. But India bounced back and won the set with a single point. But the second set had a different start. India took the initial lead and when players tried to dominate the set, the Malaysian players made a strong comeback. But Indian players made sure that the set won't go out of their hands.

This is the second Gold for India in the squash. Talking about the overall performance of India at the prestigious event, we won 84 medals and this is said to be the best performance of India.

Talking about Dipika, she is the wife of Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik. After the Gold medal, the wicket-keeper batsman took to social media to express his happiness about his better half making India proud at the prestigious event.

After the Gold won, Dipika said that this was the best moment and she will remember it. She said that she and Harinder put in their best efforts to practice hard and the hard work made us a part of the team. We are happy that we got the medal for the team.
