An Indian origin student studying in the United States has been arrested in Texas following a serious domestic incident that has drawn wide attention.

The student, identified as Manojh Sai Lella, is a 22 year old enrolled at the University of Texas at Dallas. He was taken into custody by local police after his family alerted authorities about threatening behavior and safety concerns at their residence.

According to police reports, the incident occurred in the Frisco area, where Lella allegedly threatened his family members during what was described as a severe mental health episode. Authorities claim he also attempted to set fire to the house, prompting immediate police intervention. Following an investigation, officers arrested him and registered multiple charges.

Lella has been booked under a first degree felony charge related to arson, with officials stating that the act involved intent to damage a residential property. In addition, he faces a separate charge for making terroristic threats against a family or household member. He was later produced before a court and remains in custody as legal proceedings move forward.
