Space tourism is an area that is being explored by countries and big firms. Efforts are underway by the countries to explore it. If everything goes well we might see people going into space. Countries eyeing space is not a new one and it has been going on for some time.
However, the efforts are seeing a big uptick of late. Blue Origin backed by Jeff Bezos is putting on some serious efforts. Blue Origin successfully finished a tour. While this is a big thing a pilot is getting all the attention.
Indian Pilot Gopichand Thotakura successfully completed the space tour along with others. He is the first Indian to achieve this. Earlier we had a few Indian-origin people who did this. But the same is not the case with Gopichand.
He was born in India and a few reports say that he still holds Indian Citizenship despite working in the United States. He is a Telugu man who was born in the temple city of Vijayawada. Later he moved to the United States.
The mission is getting all the attention as the mission was successful. In total six crew members were in the vehicle. After reaching the particular point, the crew reached the earth back safely in specially designed capsules.
Under Mission NS-25, six crew members including Ed Dwight, a former Air Force pilot, Industrious Ventures founder Mason Angel, Brasserie Mont Blanc founder Sylvain Chiron, Software engineer-entrepreneur Kenneth L. Hess, and retired Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Carol Schaller were taken to the space.
Upon reaching the Kármán line, the edge of space, the rocket was separated from the capsules. The crew members safely reached the earth. The rocket booster also landed on Earth safely.
