Age is just a number and one can achieve dreams and achievement no matter what the age is. Setting a big example of this a mother added a big record to her name by swimming the English Channel. She did not even take any break in between to finish this.

The English Channel is an arm of the Atlantic Ocean that divides England’s Southern Coast and France's Northern Coast. Swimming across the Channel has been followed for a very long time. However, it is also dubbed the most dangerous swim in the world due to the difficulties one faces in the process.

The 42 km distance from Britain Dover to the French coast is a tough area. But a mother of two swam across it and became the first mother from India to achieve this. She is 33 years old and is a mother of two kids.

Tanvi Chavan who hails from Maharashtra is a swimming enthusiast who often takes up such challenges. As part of that, she took a big target and completed it. She took 17 hours and 42 minutes to complete the 42 km distance.

It is said that Tanvi Chavan is the first Indian mother to achieve this. Earlier a few Indians achieved this but for the first time, a mother achieved this. She did not get this achievement easily and worked hard.

She gave in 8 to 10 hours of practice daily to push her limits. She even tested her skills and stamina in the country before taking up the big challenge. However, the mother faced a few troubles due to temperature. It is said that a few jellyfish bit her during the journey.
