As per the predictions, India would be the country with the highest population in the world this century. Cut to 2060, India’s population might reach a massive 170 cr and by 2100 India’s population might be double the size of China.
The United Nations came up with massive estimations in terms of India’s population. Currently, India’s population is 1.451 billion which might reach its peak in 2061. However, it would fall later.
The United Nations predicted that in the next 50 to 60 years the global population might reach a massive 1030 cr. Having seen the massive numbers it would come down at the end of the century.
Talking about the rapid growth of the population in India, the report said that it is a demographic challenge if the population is not controlled. Despite this, there is something to cheer about as the working-age population might see a peak in 2049.
India has the highest younger population in the world and it is no wonder that we are seeing the younger generation in other nations. Name any country and we can see Indian youth there. This is the advantage to grabbing opportunities. However, how India deals with the massive population is a big question here.
Countries like Pakistan, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the United States would also see a big uptick in the population. The report says that immigration will also have an impact on taking the population numbers up.
