This time India saw a guest for the Republic Day celebrations in French President Emmanuel Macron. He is in the country for a two-day visit. The President is exploring Jaipur and visiting the famous places in the Pink City along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The President also tasted the famous Kulhad Wadi Chai, which is tea served in earthen glass. After the tea, the President was explained about the specialty of the tea and the benefits that come with it.
During his Jaipur visit, the French President got an opportunity to learn about the UPI payments. He made the UPI payments for the tea they had. It is said that he was impressed with the UPI payments. Prime Minister Narendra Modi explained to him about UPI and how it is doing well.
The President who is on the India trip was impressed with the cash-less transactions and how the UPI payments are helping the flow of transactions and payments without any issues. By just scanning the money can be sent.
It has to be mentioned here that the world is slowly moving towards cashless transactions. India is among the top nations where the cashless transactions are happening. The UPI payments are playing a key role in driving the cashless transactions.
The rise of UPI payments is such that the payments are accepted in other countries as well. Indians visiting there can make the payments with the UPI. The UPI payments and cashless transactions picked up massively in the country after the demonetization was started.
