Jagan Talks About Using Ballot Papers: His Old Video Goes Viral!

It is known that YCP recorded a big defeat in the elections. The party was confident of a big win. However, the results came as a big shock. Days after the defeat YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made a sensational tweet on EVMs and moving towards paper ballots like how the other countries are doing.

A big debate has been going on in the country on whether EVMs can be hacked or not. The ruling BJP and Congress leaders are targeting each other on this. Tesla Boss Elon Musk also gave his thoughts and said that we should do away with EVMs.

Amid this YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that almost every advanced democracy is using ballot papers and we should also do it to uphold the spirit of the democracy. In his post, he also said that Democracy should not just prevail but it should also appear that it is prevailing.

This can be seen as the first direct response from the former Chief Minister on EVM. Earlier he indirectly said that he had a few doubts but he cannot talk about them due to lack of evidence. Expressing his shock over losing the elections, Jagan made these comments.

Cut to a few days Jagan directly expressed his thoughts on EVMs and the need to move towards ballot papers like how the other countries are doing. His tweet is now grabbing everyone’s attention.

While YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tweet is creating a sensation, his old video is now doing rounds. Earlier he spoke in favour of EVMs and said that 80 percent of people cast their votes and they came out of the polling booths with the happiness of voting for their parties. If I vote for the Fan symbol and VVPAT shows the Cycle symbol will I remain silent, Jagan asked in the old video.
