TDP+JSP+TDP Seat Sharing: Janasena’s Another Sacrifice?
Everything is falling in place for opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh as far as the alliance is concerned.
Everything is falling in place for opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh as far as the alliance is concerned. BJP, TDP, and Janasena have decided to join hands and go together to recreate 2014 scenes. Ahead of the elections, the parties gave clarity on this.
After the alliance, the focus went on seat sharing to see how many seats the parties would get. TDP and Janasena already announced the first list of candidates and a few seats were kept aside for the BJP.
Putting an end to the suspense, an agreement is said to have happened. As per the information the TDP would get 144 seats followed by JSP(21) and BJP(10) in the Assembly segments. Talking about the MP segments TDP will get 17 seats while BJP and Janasena will get 6 and 2 seats respectively.
The seat sharing almost gave clarity on how the parties would get the tickets. Another sacrifice by Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena created a space for this as the party sacrificed 3 MLA seats and 1 MP seat to the BJP to accommodate the party.
Both TDP and Janasena are desperate to make BJP a part of the alliance. This is the reason why Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan met the bigwigs in the BJP for the alliance. They met them separately and created a path for this.
Looking at the political picture, many say that seat sharing would benefit the TDP in many ways as the party will have more chances of forming the government without the support of the other parties given the fact that the party will get 144 seats.
Many say that Janasena gave its best and put in the best efforts for the alliances. It was first restricted to fewer seats and on top of this it sacrificed few seats from them. Now we have to see whether the sacrifice would get a positive outcome or not.
