Jubilee Hills Election: Too Many Withdrawals

It is already known that the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency is going for by election soon. The scrutiny of nominations for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election ended today, and 81 candidates are now left in the contest.

The Election Commission of India rejected the nominations of 130 independent candidates for different reasons such as incomplete documents and procedural errors.

Tomorrow, October 24, is the last day for candidates to withdraw their nominations. Political activity has picked up speed as all major parties Congress, BRS, and BJP are trying to convince many independent candidates to step down from the race. Their main aim is to prevent a split in votes, which could impact the chances of their official candidates.

The final list of candidates will be announced by tomorrow evening, after the withdrawal deadline ends. Jubilee Hills, being one of the most prominent constituencies in Hyderabad, is witnessing a lot of attention and political drama.
