Two-year-old Gnaneshwari was last seen with her family’s pet dog on June 6 and the dog returned home on June 9, was fitted with a GPS tracker to help find the girl, but died soon after.
There was no breakthrough yet in the case of the missing two-and-a-half-year old girl from Agraharam village in Tuni Rural mandal, despite extensive search operations over the past 10 days.
Kakinada SP Bindu Madhav, visited the village and interacted with the girl's parents at the palm oil plantation where the family resides.
Meanwhile, Kakinada district police are actively investigating whether a wild animal took the two-year-old girl, Sunkara Gnaneshwari who went missing since 10 days.
Over 400 personnel, including the police, SDRF, forest department, and NDRF teams, have been deployed to search a 10-kilometer radius using thermal drones and night-vision cameras.
As part of their investigation into the case, police installed two dolls stuffed with meat at the fence dividing the agriculture land and hilly terrain. It is believed that Gnaneshwari had disappeared at this place.
Along with the dolls, trap cameras have been arranged to see if any wild animals are moving in the place. Police are of the view that if there are any wild animals in the area, there is a chance to get near the dolls
