Timing is very crucial in politics and one bad move can be check mate. This was proven many times. Now a wrong move made by a senior politician is being discussed widely as he is said to be trying hard to undo the mistake by joining the ruling side for a better future for his son.
Karanam Balaram Krishna Murthy aka Balaram is a senior politician in Andhra Pradesh who has a legacy of a few decades to his name. He was with the Congress initially and later joined the TDP. He was with the grand old TDP for a very long time.
Despite this Karanam Balaram took the YCP route after the 2019 polls in which TDP was restricted to just 23 seats. Bringing down the party MLAs count further. It is known that the alliance recorded a landslide win in the state with 164 seats.
In the 2024 elections, Balaram’s son contested the elections on a YCP ticket and lost. Now it is said that Balaram is trying hard to join the TDP so that his son’s future would be bright. He is putting in his best efforts in this regard.
However, it is said that the TDP is not giving a positive response. TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu reportedly wants to not encourage the leaders coming from the YCP. Alliance has 164 seats and TDP won over 120 seats.
Allowing other leaders is of no use and would send a wrong message to the public. Moreover, the local leaders are also not ready to welcome Balaram. Considering all the points the political observers say Balaram is stuck in a Dilemma on what to do next and what steps to take.
