The latest development are suggesting that Congress party is contemplating the area of appointing a new chief minister for Karnataka by replacing the existing CM Siddaramaiah.
According to the existing Media reports, Siddaramaiah was asked to move to the Rajya Sabha and emerge as a prominent Congress voice against the Centre.
The full AICC leadership that met today arrived at a consensus while communicating the need for a leadership transition in Karnataka, citing the power sharing arrangement & the future of congress.
During the one on one meeting with Rahul Gandhi, Siddaramaiah was personally requested to facilitate the transition by stepping down as Chief Minister.
