What Made Kavitha Withdraw Her Petition In Supreme Court?

The opposition BRS has been facing jolts at regular intervals with the leaders leaving the party at regular intervals. A few MPs and MLAs already left the party and joined others. As if that is not enough the party faced a big jolt with the custody and remand of MLC Kavitha.
After the raids, ED officials took her into custody and shifted her to Delhi. She was produced before the Court and was sent to remand. In a press release, the ED said that Kavitha paid big amounts to get favours in the Excise policy in Delhi.
Amid this Kavitha took a sensational decision as the Petition was withdrawn. Many wonder what made the MLC take the decision. At a time when she was taken into custody and sent to remand, she took a big U-turn.
The reason behind this is that she reportedly felt that there is no need of hearing the writ petition. The counsel also said that they would take measures to get relief as per the law.
The petition that came for the hearing was filed to challenge the summons the agency served her in the case. But now she was sent to the remand and this might have made Kavitha think there is no need for the petition as the case is now revolving around her remand.
When Kavitha’s counsel requested the Supreme Court bench to allow them to withdraw the petition the bench said yes to this. Now all eyes are on Kavitha to see what step she would take next.
