TRS boss KCR is said to have asked his close confidants to keep a close watch on the activities of two rebel leaders within the party. He is said to have asked them to keep him abreast with any development related to senior leader and former minister Tummala Nageswara Rao of Khammam and sitting MLA Mynampally Hanumanth Rao of Malkajgiri assembly constituency.
Tummala Nageswara Rao has been denied a ticket this time and is said to have gone into a shell. While he is keeping to himself, he is said to be actively in touch with his vast array of supporters in Khammam district. So far, he has not revealed his mind. There is no clarity whether he would join any party or contest independently or just keep away from active politics.
KCR is said to have asked his acolytes to prepare a report on the extent of the damage that the BRS might suffer if Tummala leaves the party and joins the Congress. He is said to have asked for Tummala's impact on neighbouring constituencies in the district. It may be recalled that the Congress has already invited Tummala into its fold.
Mynampally's moves are also being closely watched. Mynampalli was given the Malkajgiri ticket, but his demand for Medak seat for his son has been turned down. Angered by this, Mynampally made some disparaging remarks against Harish Rao. As of now, KCR has not taken away the Malkajgiri ticket from Mynampally. Nor has he been expelled from the party.
