Ahead of the elections, senior MP Kesineni Nani left a big scar on TDP. Months ahead of the polls, the MP said he would resign as MP and will leave the party soon. He formally announced the decision taking to social media. The face-off between the party and him took an ugly turn.

After he announced that he would resign as MP, his son Swetha resigned as the Corporator. She met the Mayor and submitted a resignation letter. After this, she made some critical comments.

The MP's daughter reportedly said that she was upset with the way her father was treated. Recalling the instances of how Kesineni Nani was asked to stay away from the party activities and the meeting, she questioned how a sitting MP could be given such orders.

Saying that Tiruvuru falls under the Vijayawada Parliament seat which is represented by her father Swetha asked if her father won't have anything to do with the activities going on in the region.

As TDP asked Kesineni Nani to stay away from the activities and informed him that he was not being considered for the post Swetha asked what would be more humiliating than this. She reportedly pointed her fingers at Lokesh.

Media reports said that Swetha blamed Nara Lokesh for this and put the blame on the way he behaved with her father Nani. Saying that he is not happy with the way his father was insulted Swethe expressed her anger.

So far no one from the TDP spoke about the issue. But Swetha reportedly cited Lokesh as the reason for her resignation and with this people wonder if Nara Lokesh should be blamed for Swetha's resignation.
