A lot of debates and discussions have been going on about the changes the YCP leadership has been taking of late. When the elections were just a few months away, YCP took a daring step of reshuffling in-charges in a few constituencies. Adding fuel to this, Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said that a few other changes would be made as part of the strategies.
Firebrand leader Kodali Nani also responded to the issue and weighed in on the debate. The Former Minister said that the party made the decision to benefit the backward classes. He also spoke about changing the sitting candidates.
“CM Jagan wants the representation of every community in the Houses. Was I removed as I was not working properly? To give a chance to every community changes were made,” Kodali Nani said.
Giving a reason for losing the Cabinet berth, Kodali Nani said that equations were behind this as the leadership wants every community to get equal representation in the houses and hence the changes were made.
The Former Minister gave examples of himself and Perni Nani who were not given the chance in the second Cabinet. He said that by denying tickets to him and Nani, Jogi Ramesh, a BC was given a spot.
I was informed prior that I would not given a chance and others would get an opportunity. There is nothing to feel bad about the decision. To give a chance to everyone, the candidates were picked as Jagan Mohan Reddy wants to do justice to everyone, he said.
Kodali Nani went on to say that, considering various factors like caste religion, and population sizes, the decisions were made and the candidates were picked.
